Laying the Foundations for a Secure, Collaborative Future at Mumbles Community Council

Challenges 

Mumbles Community Council identified the need to bolster its cybersecurity posture and streamline digital operations. With increasing threats targeting public sector bodies and the desire to ensure compliance and resilience, upgrading to a more robust, proactive security solution was essential. Simultaneously, the Council recognised the opportunity to migrate to Microsoft 365 for better collaboration and data management, while ensuring councillors were equipped to use the tools effectively. 

Approach 

In April 2025, CloudyIT worked closely with Mumbles Community Council to deliver a full-spectrum digital transformation. We implemented Cyber Pro 24/7, providing always-on, advanced device and account security tailored to the public sector. The Council’s migration into Microsoft 365 was seamless, with all data securely transferred to the cloud. We configured Microsoft Intune across all staff devices, enabling efficient management, policy enforcement, and secure access. One outdated laptop was replaced during the rollout to ensure compatibility and performance. To maximise the value of the new setup, councillors received tailored training sessions to build confidence and competence in using Microsoft 365 tools.
